The Saints
All the clues in the mystery of suffering point to Jesus. However, as God in the flesh, we might find relating to his suffering a daunting task. So today we look at the saints who have suffered in life and for their faith.
From Mary, the mother of Jesus to Mother Teresa of Calcutta, from Stephen to C.S. Lewis, the saints old and new give us courage and hope that there is meaning in our suffering.
For me, personally, at times of greatest doubt, I have found solace and strength in the stories of men and women of God who hacked at the overgrowth in front of them. But in the last four years I have found a depth of faith and dependence on God as a result of the people who have surrounded me in relationship.
Join the conversation as we take a look at the saints. Not just the ones the world knows, but also the ones right here in our community.
